This is an example of my painting. I called it "Summer meadow". I tried to express the feeling of warm sunshine, and walking barefoot on the cool grass. It’s a nice feeling.

And this one is the stitched version of my "Summer meadow". Of course it doesn't look the same. But it has it's own charm. Hasn't it?

Painting is one of those things that just makes me happy. It helps me to express myself. It helps me to get my vision out of my head onto the paper or the canvas.
Everyting changes all the time.
Today things seem to be fine, tomorrow everything became gloomy...
Some days it seems to be clear, some days I don't understand anything...
Painting is a perfectly natural way to express all those feelings.

Now this hobby reinforces another one - stitching.
It wasn't so before. Honestly, for a long time I was using patterns designed by others.But one day I thought to myself, "Is there any reason I can't gather my painting and my stitching together and give them new life?"
It appeared not so simple as I thought at the very beginning. I took my time and went slow but I did it.
All the effort paid of. Now I gained the self-confidence to produce my own charts based on my own pictures!
I fill so great to be able to share my painting experience with others. Other people can "draw" my pictures with me - stitch by stitch, again and again.

As a matter of fact you cannot exactly turn your painted picture into stitches. And you shouldn't! After all stitching is a different technique...
But you can replicate your idea, your feelings, the whole spirit of your picture. And I feel that I am succeeding to achieve it in many cases. My pictures receives new nuances. It is so exciting making new little discoveries with each picture!
